Brand Electorate
Different rules this year:
Open to artists residing in the Federal electorate of Brand, Cities of Kwinana, Rockingham or in the Peel Region, (see maps below) as part of developing a southern music scene separate from Perth, including Rockingham, Mandurah, Ravenswood, Waroona, Boddington etc. Let's show the world what musical creativity we have down here!
Perth has its own song contest organised by WAM, West Australian Music.
For trophies and prizes, depends what sponsorships come forward! And of course, plenty of kudos!
Simply submit an mp3 (audio) or mp4 (music video) or link to a youtube video and I'll post it on here. My email is below.
Also advisable to include the lyrics!
Independent panel of judges. Last year was by popular vote, which can get biased results if one band is better known or has more followers.
Any entries from the 2023 Song Contest are ineligible.
Competition closes end of November, trophies and prizes (and heaps of kudos) awarded after judges' votes are counted.
