Song C1 'Vampire' by LoiseE
Cover of song by Olivia Rodrigo 'My first cover song that I uploaded on YouTube. The song is about being manipulated by someone older and wiser. In a similar experience, I relate to this song, hence why I chose this to be my first cover. My producer helped me make this song as a version I could proudly sing. Added catchy guitar riffs that matches the genre that I'm pursuing, even added a guitar solo at the bridge. The video is recorded in my room which also shows a little bit about who I am as a person.'

Song C2 'Bad Blood' by LoiseE
'Compared to the original by Taylor Swift, my version is more upbeat and definitely more of a pop-punk version. To Taylor, the song is about her feeling betrayed by a person who tried to sabotage her. To me, this is more of accepting that I have to let go of some people for me to grow. Staying in an environment that's full of people who are fake and brings other people down is definitely unhealthy for everyone. When I let go of those people, it made me feel lighter and it also made me feel like I can be who I want without worrying about anyone's opinions. That's how I made the instrumental sound more upbeat and kinda fun in a way with catchy melodic riffs. At the bridge and at the outro, I sang additional lyrics in the background which are all titles of my already released songs (Helpless, Getting Over You and This Is The Time), and my yet to be released songs (Turning to Somebody and I Finally Got You Now).'

Song C7 'Another Brick in The Wall'
In the band's words: 'The classic Pink Floyd tune Another Brick in The Wall' Parts 1,2 and 3 compressed into one epic cover with a reggae twist, live at the Settlers Tavern by the Guthrie Trio'

Song C8 Kav Hudson: 'Benny and The Jets':
'I love Elton John, and this song has been sitting in my live set for a while now. I noticed the faster I played it, the more I liked the feel of grooving along to it, and I started seeing the song in a totally different light. If Kav Hudson ever gets a band going, I’d hope we could sneak this into the setlist somewhere.'

Song C9 Kav Hudson: 'Harvest Moon':
'This song was performed by Neil Young years before I was born. My younger brother showed it to me and started playing it, and it inspired me to see how this beautiful country/folk song would sound after being uncovered all these years later. In short: If I could play this song next week on Triple J’s ‘Like A Version’, how would I want to do it? The soft acoustic guitar and backing choir were swapped out with an overdriven slide guitar, and a Rhodes keyboard was played to fill in the empty spaces with a new character, giving the song a modern/Aussie rock feel while preserving the original charm of Neil Young’s performance.'
