Armed with a lot of sponsorship, WAM have a much bigger Song of the Year contest.

'In a field of 170 nominees across 33 categories (plus the Golden WAMi), Siobhan Cotchin again topped the tally with three awards (Best Country Act, Best Song Lyrics, Best Vocalist), joined by Joan & The Giants who also notched up a trio of trophies (Best Alternative/Indie Act, Best Music Video, Best Single). They were closely followed by two awards each for Grievous Bodily Calm (Best Electronic/Dance Act, Best EP) and Perth’s own Eurovision favourites, Voyager (Best Metal/Heavy Act, Best Drummer/Percussionist).'

I am trying to find out the rules for submitting entries and will post them here when I have the situation clarified.

I think some artists from the Rockingham Song Contest may also want to submit their entries for the next WAM Song of The Year

If I can find a sponsor, I might just add another category for Best Lyrics for this year.
